A Pivot Networks Managed server is a server that is leased to a single customer. The server hardware, routing equipment, software and network connectivity are monitored and maintained by Pivot Networks.

- Pivot Networks Dedicated hardware, OS, core Internet applications plus additional applications installed and maintained by Pivot Networks (like Microsoft SQL server!)
All systems are available with standard configurations of CPU(s), RAM, storage, RAID, etc. and each systems is configured with core Internet software (Web server, FTP server, mail, etc.) along with selected utilities and the latest security patches, service packs and hot fixes. Load balanced and/or clustered servers for high availability and high performance applications are also available
Pivot Networks services are monitored 24x7 by Pivot
Networks’ Network Operations Center Monitoring System which monitors every critical aspect of your Managed Server as well as our end-to-end network infrastructure.

I. Every Pivot Networks Managed Server includes the following:
- A high-speed dedicated Internet server configured to our published specifications designed to meet your application needs
- A dedicated 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connection on a DS3 connection
- All server hardware and maintenance and any hardware failures are Pivot
Networks' responsibility.
- 99.97% Network uptime guarantees*
- Monitoring and notification of server hardware: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
- Rack space in our data center
- Uninterruptible Power systems
- HVAC
- Multiple connections to a variety of Internet backbones
- Assistance in domain name registration with the InterNIC authority
- DNS service for your Offsite Managed Servers domain name
II. Pivot Networks Managed Operating System (OS) servers include these extra services:
- 24x7 operating system and security monitoring and notification
- Operating system routine maintenance
- Account creation and deletion
- 24x7 core Internet application monitoring and notification
- Core internet application maintenance
- 24x7 immediate troubleshooting response to operating system and core Internet application failures upon detection.
- One hour per month of customer directed system administration tasks
III. Pivot Networks Managed Application servers include application specific administration and management utilizing best practice methods and procedures performed by certified application administrators. IV. Pivot Networks has several different Server Configurations already set. Each server package was built with performance, speed, quality and reliability in mind. Please take a look at Pivot
Networks’ Server packages. If none of these servers meet your qualifications, Pivot Networks can issue a quote for a server that meets your specifications.

Deployment Procedures
To ensure continuity, the Managed Server setup process is coordinated by a single point of contact: your Managed Server Engineer. Administrative, technical and emergency contact information for your company is collected and added to our Network Operation Center database. Your Pivot Networks team members responsible for ongoing support of your Managed Server are identified and you are provided with contact names and phone numbers to allow you to reach Pivot Networks 24 hours a day in the event of trouble. Provisions are made and communicated to you for remote server control and content updates using secure and encrypted methods. Finally, your server is made available for content loading, management and availability to the Internet.
Performance and uptime commitments
Through state of the art technology, we guarantee that our Offsite Managed Servers will be available 99.9% of the time*. All servers will be available to customers for their use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week except during scheduled maintenance.
Pivot Networks’ 24x7 Network Operations Monitoring System allows us to monitor all aspects of your server and our end-to-end network infrastructure to deliver optimal performance for things such as processor/memory utilization, memory management and bandwidth utilization.
Pivot Networks also offers 24 hour/7 days a week emergency technical help desk support as well as 8:00 to 5:00 M-F enhanced support.
All Pivot Networks Offsite Managed Servers come with a Service Level Agreement. Your SLA
determines credits to your account in the event that Pivot
Networks does not meet specific availability/uptime
commitments. Credits are specified for network
availability and hardware availability*
